What's up with the 'zombie apocalypse' and the 'end of the world' doomsday prophets? Do they have an 'inside track' to what is happening and what will happen? I don't think so. What do we believe anymore? The words of the prophets say, without hesitation, that they don't even know the time or day when the world will end. Most of the time it is sheer speculation. It's like watching a football game. You know the teams, the statistics, and their record, but, do you really know if they're going to win the game? And, do you know that out of however many games they have which game they'll win on WHAT DAY? NO. And that's the simple answer.
What we know about the prophets is that they were looking at every aspect of life, including what others were saying. Very few had the reputation of getting more than half of their predictions right. But, MOST, not all, of them were totally 'off base' and had NO idea precisely when things were to happen. This brings me to the 20th Century. Most prophets in the last century were more than half right about the outcomes of their predictions. The famous 'sleeping prophet', Edgar Cayce, was right over 60% of the time, according to some reports. Many prognosticators of modern times went so far as to pinpoint the exact time and day of their predictions. The results have always been wrong.
The current batch of predictions, in the most Jean Dixon-esque style, have been weighing mostly toward being wrong. Sure, certain 'signs' and 'wonders' have preceded these so-called 'prophecies' but, you can see what you want in anything, apparently. The extrasensory perceptions of those that claim to know the precise day and time will always be wrong no matter how they might 'see' it. No matter if you're a Clairvoyant Medium (like yours truly) or a very devout religious practitioner, NO ONE KNOWS the precise day or time when the world is supposedly going to end. Read Matthew 24:36 in the Holy Bible. Back then, the writers and translators of the Holy Bible knew, by reading the old texts and manuscripts.
The most disturbing part about the recent hullabaloo with Pastors and others claiming that May 21, 2011 was (or is; the day isn't over yet) the end is a view that is totally coming from an inept and uneducated mind. Logic plays a big part in all this, when you read and study ancient scriptures. It also doesn't hurt to research and study geology and physics as well. But, to have a man come on television and say that he knows the time and day of the end is totally asinine.
What is your opinion on this?
